See, I took my dog for a walk and he saw his friend coming up the street. He took off, much like the dog above and down I went.
Because I held onto him, I fell flat on my face, hitting the pavement with nothing to break my fall. Had I let go of Tommy, it would have been fine. He'd have run to Casey, said hello, and I'd have caught him. But because I held on so tightly, I suffered the consequences.
What are you holding onto that you should let go of?

You are a champ, Ellen.
Your rainbow eye shows that you are one who gets up when others would stay down.
Serve on.

"Rainbow eye"--interesting way of putting it Carolyn. Rather makes it sound artistic don't you think? I'll have to remember that one. :)
You're such an inspiration. Leave it to you to turn a painful "rainbow eye" into an opportunity for others to learn more about our journey with Christ. Praying you'll heal quickly...
Wow, Ellen, some people to to extremes to get a good analogy!!! Praising God for His protection and praying for a quick recovery!
Funny Vonda! It certainly wasn't intentional! And it is healing slowly, as long as I don't laugh. Turns out a lot of facial expressions involve the area around your eyes. I found out the hard way.
Funny that I'm just now reading this...did you see Vonda's post on the CCC site today? Talk about an extreme analogy =o) You will enjoy it Ellen, here's the link:

I hope you have healed well! See you tomorrow?!?
