They came after going through a very long and frightening time with my daughter who had had a lift-changing stroke. My husband is a heart patient. My panic was about losing either of them. I finally felt peace as I realized that only Jesus is a constant in my life. People will always fail us even through no fault of their own. I cling to that whenever the familiar fears creep in. I knew that He could have prevented it but didn't. I didn't understand why. Why would He let this happen to me? But as I forgave Him and drew close to Him again, He helped me through that time and eventually showed me the purpose that He had in all of it. Strangely enough, as hard as it all was, I would choose to do it again because what is coming out of it is so worth it and so important. He really does love us, More than we could ever know.
